Dusheti Municipality

Dusheti is an administrative municipality in northern Georgia that spreads across mountainous terrain with several settlements, where the main town serves as the administrative center. The territory is characterized by highland geography shaped by traditional settlement patterns.

The area gained importance in the early 13th century and later served as a princely seat of the Aragvi dynasty until the 18th century, when it came under royal control. This shift in power marked a new chapter in the region's administrative history.
