Dead Sea Mall is a two-floor shopping center in Ein Bokek, built by BERCLEYS and opened in November 2018 on about 15,000 sq m. Its shops sell clothing, footwear and jewellery, alongside restaurants and cafes. The second floor is currently largely derelict, with only a McDonald's operating there.
The shopping center opened in 2018 as part of Ein Bokek's tourism development within the Tamar Regional Council area. Its opening marked an expansion of retail and leisure facilities in the Dead Sea region.
The mall's Hebrew name, Kanyon Yam HaMelach, is the everyday name used locally. It was built for the Dead Sea hotel strip and aims mainly at incoming foreign tourism, so shop signage and staff serve hotel guests from Ein Bokek. The second floor stands largely gutted apart from a McDonald's, with a duty-free area planned for the future.
Hotels in Ein Bokek offer free shuttle services to the mall, making it easy to visit without a personal vehicle. The location is accessible during daylight hours, and the layout allows visitors of all abilities to navigate comfortably.
The mall was bought in June 2023 by Rani Zim Shopping Centers for 152 million shekels. Its second floor stands largely gutted, with only a McDonald's operating there; plans call for a duty-free area aimed at the foreign tourists the mall targets.
