Moti Masjid, Delhi, Marble mosque in Red Fort, Delhi, India
The white marble structure features three domes, intricate floral patterns, and a main prayer hall enclosed by carved stone screens.
Emperor Aurangzeb commissioned this mosque between 1659 and 1660 as a private prayer space within the imperial residence complex.
The mosque incorporates Indo-Islamic architectural elements, blending Persian design principles with local Indian craftsmanship and materials.
Visitors can access the mosque during Red Fort opening hours from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with separate entrances for men and women.
The mosque contains a special ceremonial washing pool called Wuzu Khan, used for ritual cleansing before prayers.
