Established in 1814 through the Baptist Missionary Society, the church stands as one of the first Christian institutions near the Red Fort in northern India.
The interior displays memorial tablets, brass plaques, and scriptural texts in Urdu within gilded Indo-Gothic frames, reflecting the fusion of European and Oriental elements.
The church conducts regular services and maintains a primary school within its complex, making the courtyard particularly active during school hours.
Known as the Mother Church, this institution has produced numerous religious leaders who established additional churches throughout the Delhi National Capital Region.
