Nagoa Beach is a horseshoe-shaped stretch of sand on the coast of Diu, a small union territory on the western tip of India. The shore is lined with palm trees, and the sea here is generally calm, making it one of the more approachable spots along this coastline.
Diu was under Portuguese rule for around 450 years, and the area developed as a coastal settlement during that long colonial period. The town's architecture still reflects that past, though the beach itself remained a natural, largely undeveloped stretch of shore for most of that time.

Diu is one of the few places in the state of Gujarat where alcohol can be sold legally, which draws visitors from the surrounding dry state. This gives the beach a noticeably different crowd compared to many other coastal spots nearby.
