Ziyarat Naqshband Sahab, Muslim shrine in Srinagar, India
The white marble mausoleum features traditional Islamic architecture with intricate wooden carvings and stands within a large garden complex in Srinagar.
Sultan Sikandar established the initial shrine area between 1389 and 1413, while Khawja Khawand Mahmood constructed the current structure in 1633.
The shrine honors Khawaja Syed Bha-u-Deen Naqsaband, founder of a Sufi order, and remains central to the spiritual practices of Naqshbandi followers.
Visitors can reach the shrine through local transport services from central Srinagar, with dedicated areas for individual prayer and group gatherings.
The shrine temporarily housed Prophet Mohammad's hair relic in 1699 before its transfer to Hazratbal Shrine due to increasing visitor numbers.
