Moti Masjid

Moti Masjid is a religious structure in Mehrauli featuring white marble domes and delicate floral carvings within a red sandstone enclosure. The rectangular courtyard and stone walls form the main elements of this protected monument.

The structure was built during Bahadur Shah I's reign in the early 18th century within a dargah complex. It was later designated as a Monument of National Importance.

The mosque displays classic Islamic architecture shaped by Mughal design, with walls deliberately oriented toward Mecca for prayer. The careful placement of its elements merges religious needs with the broader complex layout.

The site is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and remains closed to general visitors to protect its delicate marble floors. Check ahead for possible special visits or exterior viewing options.
