Heritage Transport Museum, Gurgaon

The Heritage Transport Museum is a transportation museum in Gurgaon featuring twelve galleries dedicated to different modes of transport. The exhibition space holds diverse collections that document the evolution and variety of transportation methods.

The museum originated from a personal vehicle collection started in 1994, which grew with support from the Ministry of Culture. It opened in 2013 to share the history of transportation and its importance to society.

The collection displays traditional tribal artworks by Gond and Warli artists that interpret transportation through their cultural perspectives. These works show how different communities express movement and travel through their visual traditions.

Visitors can find a library with books on transportation history, a cafeteria for refreshments, and a shop for souvenirs. These facilities are easy to access and provide basic amenities for a full day visit.

The collection holds rare enamel advertising signs and classic cars from different decades. These objects tell the story of how businesses promoted vehicles and how transport design evolved over time.
