Casaforte Passerin d'Entrèves

The Casaforte Passerin d'Entrèves is a fortified residence in the center of Entrèves village featuring Gothic windows and a pointed arch doorway with defensive features. The structure combines thick stone walls with architectural details that reflect both protection and status.

The building was constructed in 1351 by Jean de Curia Majori as a fortified structure in a strategic location. Over the following centuries it passed through several noble families before the Passerin family purchased it in 1711 and has retained ownership ever since.

The structure shows how wealthy families in the mountains combined military defense with comfortable living spaces. Its design reflects how people in this region balanced protection with daily life over many generations.

The structure remains a private residence of the Passerin family and can only be viewed from outside, where the facade details are visible from the village area. Visitors should remember this is an occupied private property and respect the privacy of the residents.

Inside, a spiral staircase connects the different floors while revealing Gothic arches and a collection of historical art objects accumulated over time. These elements show how wealthy owners transformed the fortification into an artistically furnished residence.
