Municipio X

Municipio X is an administrative district of Rome that stretches from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the mouth of the Tiber River, mixing urban neighborhoods with nature reserves. The area brings together residential zones, parks, and coastline into a varied landscape.

The district was renamed from Municipio XIII to Municipio X in 2013 as part of an administrative reform. This reorganization reshaped how Rome divided its municipal sectors.

The district manages multiple libraries, theaters, and cultural centers that provide educational and entertainment programs for the local population.

The district connects coastal areas with inner-city neighborhoods and offers various transport links. Visitors should know that distances between different parts require planning ahead.

The area holds two remarkable natural spaces: the Castelfusano Pinewood and the Castelporziano Presidential Estate. These two protected sites preserve important habitats within the urban surroundings.
