Tsurumi-ku, Administrative ward in Yokohama, Japan.

Tsurumi-ku occupies the northeastern section of Yokohama, covering 33 square kilometers with residential areas, industrial zones, and waterfront districts along Tokyo Bay.

The ward emerged from an ancient settlement, officially established in 1927 during Yokohama's administrative reorganization, following centuries of development as a strategic coastal location.

The Soji-ji Temple, relocated to Tsurumi in 1911, stands as a principal temple of Zen Buddhism, occupying 50,000 square meters of contemplative grounds.

Multiple rail lines, including the Keihin-Tohoku Line and Nambu Line, connect Tsurumi-ku to central Yokohama and Tokyo, facilitating daily commutes for residents.

The Mitsuike Park displays 1,600 cherry trees from 78 different species, making it one of the most diverse collections of cherry blossoms in Japan.
