The power station represents Kenya's commitment to renewable energy solutions, supporting the national goal of complete population electrification from 70 percent in 2017.
This solar installation produces 123 gigawatt-hours annually, delivering electricity to 245,000 homes through the Kenya Power and Lighting Company network.
The facility connects directly to a 230-kilowatt transmission line from Turkwel hydroelectric plant to Lessos substation, making energy distribution efficient.
