Apgujeong-dong

Apgujeong-dong is an upscale residential neighborhood in Gangnam District with luxury shopping centers, high-end boutiques, and contemporary architecture lining its main streets. The area got its name from a 15th-century pavilion built during the Joseon Dynasty by the official Han Myeonghoe. The original name means 'Seagull Pavilion' in Hanja characters, connecting the modern neighborhood to its historical roots.
