Sudeoksa, Buddhist temple in Yesan County, South Korea

Located on the southern slopes of Deoksungsan, Sudeoksa temple stands at 151 meters elevation within South Chungcheong Province's mountainous terrain.

The temple's main hall, constructed in 1308 during the Goryeo Dynasty, represents South Korea's oldest wooden building and holds National Treasure designation number 49.

The temple complex serves as one of five major training centers for the Jogye Order, where Buddhist monks study meditation and traditional practices.

Visitors can participate in the Temple Stay Program, which includes formal meals, meditation sessions, and traditional tea ceremonies with resident monks.

The temple houses King Gongmin's geomungo, a six-string wooden lute with inscriptions, given to Master Mangong as a precious artifact.
