Daewangam Park

Daewangam Park is a coastal park in Ulsan that covers a large area with multiple zones from the entrance to a lighthouse. A paved pathway through a pine forest connects visitors to viewpoints and the distinctive rock formation, while picnic areas and walking trails spread throughout the grounds.

The park was developed in the 1990s and received a major infrastructure improvement in 1995 when a bridge was built to connect the main area to the rock formation. This bridge made the distinctive rocks more accessible to visitors and helped establish the site as a public destination.

The park serves as a gathering place where locals come throughout the year to walk, rest, and spend time with family along the water. The rock formations and coastline have shaped how people in the area relate to the sea and natural landscape.

Visitors should wear sturdy footwear since some paths cross over rocks and can become slippery in wet conditions. The best time to visit is during dry weather when it is safe to explore the rocks and enjoy the views.

The large rocks along the beach have unusual shapes that resemble ancient creatures and have captured the imagination of visitors for generations. Many people come specifically to photograph these natural formations from different angles.
