Avonturen Doolhof

Avonturen Doolhof is a hedge maze covering about 600 square meters with conifer hedges standing one and a half meters tall. The pathways are designed specifically for children to explore on their own.

The maze opened in 1995 after years of planning. It was designed by Henny Knoet, a creator known for designing other attractions in the park.

The entrance displays a metal keyhole shape with an explorer figure holding a telescope and compass. This design appeals to children and sparks their curiosity about the adventure ahead.

The hedge height allows children to navigate the maze independently while parents can supervise from outside. This makes it suitable for families wanting children to experience a sense of exploration on their own.

A scroll at the entrance depicts adventures within the maze featuring challenges like water and wind. This storytelling encourages children to notice these elements during their exploration.
