Polka Marina

Polka Marina was a caterpillar carousel at Efteling amusement park where vehicles traveled along a circular track while moving up and down simultaneously. The ride featured a large fountain centerpiece with a pirate figure that launched into the air during operation, combining family-friendly movement with a whimsical maritime setting.

The ride opened in 1984 as a family attraction and remained popular with visitors for over 30 years. It closed in 2020 when the park decided to replace it with a different attraction.

The ride incorporates maritime elements with an 8-meter whale fountain at its center, sending a pirate figure into the air during operation.

The ride was designed for young children and allowed families to experience entertainment together in a safe setting. It was located within the amusement park and easily accessible from main pathways.

The mechanical system combined traditional carousel movement with roller coaster technology, creating vertical motion patterns during the circular journey.
