Berg en Dal is a municipality in eastern Gelderland with around 35,000 residents spread across several communities. The area contains forests, farmland, and residential neighborhoods situated near the German border with rolling terrain.
The municipality formed in 2015 when three separate administrative areas joined together to create one larger community. This reorganization aimed to improve local governance across the region.
The Afrika Museum displays full-scale reconstructions of traditional African villages where visitors can walk through and learn about daily life and crafts. These recreations help people understand how communities organized themselves and worked together in different regions.
The main administrative office is located in Groesbeek and serves the entire municipality. Visitors can find information about services and resources for all parts of the area there.
The Duivelsberg hills rise noticeably from the otherwise flat landscape, creating natural elevation changes. This feature sets the area apart from the typical Dutch flat terrain found in most of the country.
