Pinagsama, Administrative division in Taguig, Philippines.
Pinagsama is an administrative division in Taguig, in the Philippines, formed by merging several former village areas into one district. The area contains residential neighborhoods, schools, commercial streets, and a number of diplomatic facilities spread across its urban grid.
The district was separated from Barangay Western Bicutan on December 12, 2008, following a public vote in favor of the split. The decision came from the community itself, which sought its own administrative identity.
The name Pinagsama comes from Tagalog and means something like "joined together" or "unified". Walking through the area, you can see this in the way residential blocks, shops, and community spaces sit side by side without clear separation.
The streets follow a fairly regular grid and most points of interest are within walking distance of each other. Traffic can get heavier near the diplomatic facilities during peak hours, so it is worth planning your route in advance.
Within this single district, there are embassies from Qatar, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. This concentration of diplomatic missions in one barangay is rare for Taguig and gives the streets an international feel that most neighboring areas do not have.
