Saint Nicholas Church stands on a reinforced hillock with stone staircases, featuring three-lobed arches supported by four columns at its entrance point.
The church construction began in 1768 as a chapel for the Văcărescu family estate and reached completion in 1792, with only the vault paintings remaining original.
The building follows traditional Eastern Orthodox architecture with a cross-shaped layout measuring 18 meters long and contains an extended narthex with polygonal apses.
The church maintains its position at 6-8 București-Ploiești Road in northern Bucharest, near Lake Băneasa, remaining open for religious services.
The structure includes an octagonal bell tower from 1940, while its facade displays painted medallions in circular niches above a distinctive belt course.
