Adlersky City District, City district in Sochi, Russia

Adlersky City District stretches along the Black Sea coastline and reaches into higher elevations toward the Georgian border. The area contains residential settlements, mountain communities, and a network of commercial and residential zones.

The territory originated from a fortress built in 1837 and developed over the following decades. Its current administrative structure was established in 1961 and has remained in place since then.

The district is home to communities of different backgrounds and several places of worship, including Russian Orthodox churches and an Armenian cathedral. These religious buildings shape the daily life and appearance of the area.

An international airport and a major railway station serve as the main entry points to the district. Visitors should know that the terrain becomes hillier the farther you move away from the coast.

The district hosted several venues for the 2014 Winter Olympics, with sports facilities that continue to be used for various events today. These Olympic sites remain part of the area's character and infrastructure.
