Şanlıurfa Archaeology and Mosaic Museum

The Şanlıurfa Archaeology and Mosaic Museum is a large facility housing archaeological finds from southeastern Turkey and features two main exhibition areas. One section displays artifacts from early human settlements in the region, while the other presents ancient mosaic artworks spanning different periods.

The museum was established in 1987 to preserve archaeological discoveries from the region and was later moved to a purpose-built facility. This relocation allowed for better care and display of fragile objects from major excavation sites in the surrounding area.

The museum displays mosaics that show scenes from daily life and mythology, revealing how ancient people here expressed their values and beliefs through art. These works offer visitors a window into the tastes and craftsmanship of the communities that inhabited this region.
