Apollo's Chariot, Steel roller coaster in Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Virginia.
The roller coaster features a 210-foot drop with speeds reaching 73 miles per hour across 4,882 feet of steel track through multiple hills.
Opening in March 1999, Apollo's Chariot marked the first Hyper Coaster design by Swiss manufacturing company Bolliger & Mabillard at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
The coaster design incorporates elements from Greek mythology, specifically referencing Apollo, the god who guided the sun across the sky in his chariot.
Three separate trains operate simultaneously on the track, each containing nine cars that accommodate four riders per row for maximum efficiency.
During the inaugural ceremony in 1999, model Fabio Lanzoni experienced an unexpected collision with a flying goose while riding in the front row.
