Big Pocono State Park

Big Pocono State Park is a mountain nature reserve in Monroe County that covers extensive terrain with numerous walking trails and overlook areas. The landscape features mixed forests, open ridge trails, and multiple pathways suitable for different ability levels.

The park was established in 1954 to protect the natural resources of Camelback Mountain for public recreation. This creation reflected growing public interest in outdoor access and mountain conservation.
