Trường Sa

Truong Sa district encompasses coral islands, cays, reefs, and banks across the Spratly Islands region, situated 248 nautical miles southeast of Cam Ranh port.

The district administration was established on December 9, 1982, and later incorporated into Phu Khanh Province before becoming part of Khanh Hoa province in 1989.

The district maintains three administrative units where naval personnel and local residents collaborate in maintaining the islands' infrastructure and maritime activities.

Transportation access is facilitated through Truong Sa Airport on Spratly Island, featuring a 1,200-meter runway, along with multiple piers serving inhabited islands.

The district features wireless internet coverage within a 20-kilometer radius of the islands, enabling communication for the 93 permanent residents and military personnel.
