Muhaires Castle, Historical palace and archaeological site in Al-Ahsa governorate, Saudi Arabia
The castle features round towers containing multiple rooms constructed from stones and mud, with an external wall supported by a cylindrical tower.
Built in 1208 Hijri by Al-Imam Saud bin Abdul-Aziz, the castle served military purposes and stored weapons during conflicts between Al-Imam and Zaid bin Uray'er forces.
The castle represents traditional Arabian construction methods, utilizing local materials such as mud, burlap, and hay in its architectural design.
The surrounding Muhaires Castle Park provides visitors with facilities including restrooms, playground equipment, lighting systems, and food service establishments.
Within the castle walls stands a small roofless courtyard containing a water well, complemented by three long ground-floor rooms and two upper chambers.
