Al Jasra House, Historical house in Northern Governorate, Bahrain
The house features traditional Bahraini architectural elements with a design incorporating coral stone walls and palm tree trunk supports throughout its structure.
Built in 1907 by Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, this residence marks the birthplace of Emir Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa in 1933.
The building represents early 20th-century Bahraini construction methods, with its courtyard decorated using local mitre and auger shell gravel patterns.
Visitors can explore the house from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM every day except Fridays, with prior confirmation recommended for accurate opening times.
The adjacent Al Jasra Handicraft Centre maintains regional traditions through demonstrations of model boat building, pottery making, and basket weaving techniques.
