Bahrain Financial Harbour, Financial complex in Manama, Bahrain
Bahrain Financial Harbour is a large business complex on the northern coast of Manama featuring two tall towers that rise 260 meters high. The site combines office spaces, commercial centers, and financial institutions in one location.
Development began in 2003 and the main towers were completed in 2007, establishing Manama as a modern financial center. The project coincided partly with the 2008 global financial crisis, which affected later construction phases.
The complex houses the Bahrain Stock Exchange, where financial professionals work and conduct business daily. This makes it the economic center of the country, where decisions are made that shape the region's markets.
The site is located next to King Faisal Highway and easily accessible via King Fahd Causeway, which connects to Saudi Arabia. The airport is only about ten minutes away, making arrivals and departures convenient.
The towers were built on reclaimed land that was once the site of the historic Manama pier. This transformation shows how the city modernized its waterfront to make room for new business ventures.
