Bahrain National Stadium, Main sports stadium in Riffa, Bahrain
The Bahrain National Stadium features a grass playing field of 105 by 68 meters and contains modern facilities for both players and media representatives.
The construction of this sports complex started in December 1980 and reached completion in December 1982, with a total investment of 152 million dollars.
The stadium gained international recognition when Pope Francis conducted the first papal mass in Bahrain history at this location on November 5, 2022.
The venue includes designated areas for disabled visitors and maintains a substantial parking space that accommodates up to 13,000 vehicles.
The stadium served as the central location for multiple Gulf Cup tournaments and functions as the home ground for several teams, including the Bahrain national squad.
