Mahboob Chowk Clock Tower, Clock tower in Charminar district, Hyderabad, India.
The five-story clock tower features four large clocks mounted on each side, displaying time to all directions in the busy market area.
Built in 1892 by Prime Minister Asman Jah, the tower was named after Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, the sixth Nizam of the princely state of Hyderabad.
The Turkish-style architecture of the tower reflects the influence of Ottoman design elements during the Nizam period in Hyderabad's construction methods.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation completed renovation work in 2020, adding garden spaces and seating arrangements around the structure.
After decades of inactivity, all four clock mechanisms resumed operation in 2018, marking a new chapter in the structure's 130-year existence.
