Tomb of Li Wenzhong

The tomb includes stone carvings, ceremonial structures, and a stele mounted on a tortoise that details the achievements of Li Wenzhong.

Li Wenzhong, nephew of Ming Dynasty founder Zhu Yuanzhang, served as a general and head of the National University before his death in 1383.

The burial site follows traditional Chinese architectural principles for royal tombs, featuring a narrow layout with stone figures along the ceremonial path.

Located at coordinates 32°04'46.99N and 118°50'22.99E, the tomb spans 0.87 hectares with an additional 180 hectares of protected buffer zone.

The unfinished horse sculpture along the Sacred Way stands as evidence of the hasty burial following Li Wenzhong's controversial death.
