Vansda National Park

The protected area spans 24 square kilometers of tropical evergreen forests with teak trees, bamboo groves, and diverse plant species throughout the terrain.

The park, established in 1979, originated as a hunting ground for the Nawabs of Dang before receiving national park designation and protection status.

The surrounding communities include native Adivasi populations who maintain traditional connections to the forest lands and natural resources within the region.

Visitors can access the park through Waghai railway station, located 4 kilometers away, or through Surat Airport at a distance of 120 kilometers.

The forest territory houses 450 plant species and 200 bird varieties, alongside leopards, hyenas, bison, and four-horned antelopes within its boundaries.
