Karkonosze County

Karkonosze County is an administrative district in Lower Silesia that stretches across the northern slopes of the Giant Mountains. The area comprises nine municipalities and is managed from the city of Jelenia Góra.

The area was created in 1999 during Poland's administrative reorganization, bringing together territories previously managed separately. This restructuring shaped how the region is governed today.
