History
The mansion was built in 1846 as a residence for Tengku Mahmud, a grandson of the Sultan of Johor. Merchant Haji Yusoff acquired it in 1912 and left his lasting mark on the property.

The bright yellow walls carry meaning from Malay royal heritage, while the interior combines British colonial details with local residential style. This blend shows how different cultures shaped the space over time.
