Boardwalk and Baseball, Former amusement park in Haines City, Florida
Boardwalk and Baseball was an entertainment park in Haines City, Florida, that combined amusement rides with a baseball stadium in one sprawling complex. The facility featured roller coasters, water rides, and other attractions spread across the grounds.
The park began in 1977 as Circus World before being reimagined as Boardwalk and Baseball in 1987 with new attractions and focus. It operated under this name for just a few years before closing in 1990.
The facility displayed numerous artifacts from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and hosted the Kansas City Royals spring training sessions.
The site was located near the junction of Interstate 4 and US Highway 27, making it accessible by car from surrounding areas. The grounds were spacious, so visitors needed to plan time to move between different sections and attractions.
The park served as the filming location for an ESPN game show called Super Bowl of Sports Trivia, which was produced there in 1988 and 1989. This television program attracted viewers interested in sports trivia competitions.
