Extremeroller, Steel roller coaster at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, US.
Extremeroller is a steel roller coaster at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. The ride guides passengers through sharp turns and two inversions as it climbs and descends along its track.
The coaster debuted in 1976 as Screamroller and was renamed and rebuilt in 1983. This transformation made it North America's first standup looping roller coaster.
The American Coaster Enthusiasts organization maintains the original standup trains from Extremeroller in their preservation collection.
Visitors should expect longer wait times during warm weekends. Loose items are not recommended since they can fall during the ride.
The coaster underwent multiple rebuilds, including a switch from seated to standup trains. It was later relocated to Taiwan where it operates under a different name.
