Orient Express, Steel roller coaster at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Missouri.

The Orient Express featured red tracks with two interlocking vertical loops and covered a length of 3,438 feet at speeds reaching 50 miles per hour.

Arrow Dynamics constructed the Orient Express in 1980, operating until 2003 when maintenance costs prompted its removal from Worlds of Fun entertainment park.

The roller coaster design included a 100-foot tunnel entrance and dual interlocking loops, making it a central attraction at Worlds of Fun for 23 years.

The station housed three trains with seven cars each, allowing 28 riders per dispatch through its double-row seating configuration.

The Orient Express introduced the Kamikaze Curve element, a 90-degree lateral ascent followed by a half-loop, marking an innovation in roller coaster design.
