Nateshwar Deul, Buddhist archaeological site in Tongibari, Bangladesh.

The excavation site extends across 500 square meters and contains sixteen Buddhist stupas alongside numerous architectural structures from medieval times.

The Buddhist city at Nateshwar Deul experienced two periods of development, first from 780 to 950 CE and then from 950 to 1223 CE.

The site includes remains of monasteries, temples, and a pyramid-shaped stupa that served as a central location for Buddhist teachings and ceremonies.

Archaeological excavations continue until 2024, with guided visits available through local authorities in the Munshiganj District of Bangladesh.

The excavation revealed Bangladesh's only pyramid-shaped stupa, measuring 44 meters in height and covering an area of 2,000 square meters.
