Nanjing's Xuanzang Temple, Buddhist temple in Xuanwu District, China.
The temple grounds contain multiple halls, traditional Chinese structures, pagodas, and landscaped gardens within the Jiuhua Mountain Park complex.
The temple was established in 2003 to commemorate Xuanzang, a Tang Dynasty monk who traveled to India collecting Buddhist texts and translating scriptures.
The temple functions as a National Patriotism Education center while maintaining its role as an active Buddhist worship and meditation space.
Visitors can access educational materials in multiple languages, participate in guided tours, and observe daily Buddhist ceremonies throughout the temple complex.
In 1942, construction workers uncovered a stone envelope containing authenticated bone fragments believed to belong to the venerated monk Xuanzang.
