Torre degli Anziani

The Torre degli Anziani is a medieval tower in Piazza della Frutta and displays typical Romanesque architecture with sturdy stone walls and decorative arches. Rising 47 meters, it overlooks the central square where a daily market takes place.

The tower was commissioned in the 13th century by Tiso VI da Camposampiero to serve as a strategic lookout for the city. It has retained its original foundation and stands as evidence of Padua's medieval development.
