Onshi Hakone Park

Located on the shores of Lake Ashi, Onshi Hakone Park presents views of Mount Fuji and Mount Hakone through its landscaped gardens and walking paths.

The park grounds housed an imperial retreat during the Meiji era before opening to the public on May 5, 1946, following World War II.

The Lakeside Observation Hall exhibits the heritage of Japanese imperial architecture, featuring a traditional tea room called Ryokushian on its second floor.

Visitors can reach the park via a 33-minute ride on the Hakone Tozan Bus from Hakone Yumoto Station to the Onshi Koen Mae stop.

The park contains the 200 Steps, which represent the original stone stairway from the imperial palace period, now covered with natural moss.
