Panjpeer Rocks

Panjpeer Rocks stands at 1,800 meters above sea level, forming a natural ridge that extends across the landscape of Kotli Sattian in Punjab.

The rock formations have existed for centuries in the Kahuta district, located 70 kilometers from Islamabad, serving as a significant geographical landmark in the region.

The name originates from five religious figures who established meditation spaces in these mountains, with their carved footprints remaining visible in the stones.

Visitors need to drive two hours from Islamabad to reach the base, then complete a three-hour hike through forest paths to access the main formation.

During winter months, the elevation of these rocks creates conditions for snow accumulation, while supporting diverse plant and animal species throughout the year.
