Neela Sandh Waterfall

Neela Sandh is a waterfall in Mouri Syedan where water flows over rocks into a natural pool surrounded by green mountain slopes in the Kahuta area. The water collects in varying depths before continuing its course downstream.

Local residents have used this natural site as a destination since the early settlement of the Kahuta region. Over time it became an established place where people from nearby cities would visit.

The waterfall serves as a gathering point where families from the surrounding area come together for picnics and social outings. People from Rawalpindi and Islamabad visit regularly to spend time with loved ones in this natural setting.

The site is located about 44 kilometers from Islamabad and requires sturdy footwear to navigate the walking trails. The paths can become slippery, especially after rain, so visitors should take care when moving around.

The name Neela comes from Urdu and means blue, inspired by the blue tint of the clear water. This blue color becomes especially visible on sunny days when light reflects off the water surface.
