Sky Trek Tower

Sky Trek Tower is an observation tower with a rotating cabin located within Six Flags Great America amusement park. The cabin lifts visitors approximately 285 feet into the air while rotating to show the park and surrounding landscape from multiple angles.

The tower was built in 1977 as part of an expansion by Marriott Corporation and was then the tallest freestanding structure in Lake County, Illinois. Its construction marked a significant milestone in the park's development during that period.

The tower functions as a central meeting point for families and groups, representing a significant landmark within the Six Flags Great America landscape.

Access is restricted to a minimum height requirement to ensure safety during the ride. Visitors should note that the ride may be interrupted during bad weather or strong winds.

On clear days, riders can see the Chicago skyline from above, a rare view from this perspective within the park grounds. The ride also provides narrated information about the park's history and features during the rotation.
