Ragin' Cajun, Steel roller coaster at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, United States
Ragin' Cajun was a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee with spinning cars that rotated during the second half of the ride. The trains reached speeds of approximately 29 miles per hour as they traveled along the track.
The ride operated from May 2004 until October 2013 before being removed to make space for new park attractions. The park's decision to relocate it reflected changing plans for the area.
The ride took its name from Louisiana culture and fit within the park's Mardi Gras themed section. Visitors could experience the festive setting of this area while enjoying the attraction.
Four riders fit in each car, and there was a minimum height requirement of 48 inches. The park could process roughly 900 visitors per hour when the ride was operating.
The ride combined cars from Reverchon with rail systems from Zamperla, an unusual partnership between two manufacturers. This mix of components made the attraction distinctive in how it was built.
