Trompo Mágico

Trompo Magico is an interactive learning museum in Zapopan dedicated to arts, sciences, and technology education. The facility blends pre-Columbian stone works with modern glass and metal architecture spread across spacious grounds.

The museum was founded in 2003 under government administration. It later moved to cultural oversight when it transferred to Jalisco's Culture Secretary in 2019.

The name comes from the Mexican spinning top toy, symbolizing movement and change. Visitors experience this concept throughout the exhibitions, where hands-on discovery and exploration guide the experience.

The grounds are flat and easy to walk through, with clear paths connecting different exhibition areas. Plan time for hands-on activities and wear comfortable shoes for exploring the entire space.

The museum houses a stop-motion animation production studio where visitors can watch Mexican animated films being made. This rare feature gives insight into professional filmmaking happening right on the grounds.
