Gallery and Gift Shop
The Gallery and Gift Shop is located in the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre in Whistler and features handcrafted artwork by Indigenous artists from local First Nations communities. The selection includes jewelry, pottery, carvings, woven objects, home decor, clothing, accessories, and books about Indigenous art, legends, and history.
The cultural centre was established to preserve and share the history and heritage of the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations. The shop supports the continuation of traditional craftsmanship and helps these communities maintain their cultural identity and practices in the present day.
The shop is part of a cultural centre dedicated to the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations, with staff from these communities sharing stories about the artwork. Visitors encounter handcrafted pieces that carry symbols and traditions connected to local First Nations peoples, creating a direct link to their ongoing cultural practices.
The shop is open Tuesday through Sunday in Whistler's Upper Village on Blackcomb Way, with staff ready to help you find meaningful pieces. You can also browse and purchase items online if you prefer shopping from home.
The centre's architecture was inspired by traditional longhouses and operates with environmental sustainability through water conservation, composting, and eco-friendly landscaping. This design reflects a deep connection to the natural world and the land that shapes the cultures represented in the artwork on display.
