Valley of Waves

Valley of Waves is a water park in Moses Kotane Local Municipality featuring a large wave pool with sandy beaches and tropical gardens. The facility sits within the Pilanesberg National Park complex and includes multiple slides, swimming areas, and surrounding vegetation zones.

The water park was developed and opened as part of Sun City Resort's expansion in the North West Province. The facility significantly changed the region's tourism offerings.

The park integrates African design elements through its Temple of Courage slide structure and traditional architectural details throughout the facilities. These features shape the overall experience and create a connection between recreation and regional identity.

Visitors can rent lockers near the changing rooms and access multiple food stations with meals between water activities. The facility operates from 9 AM to 6 PM and is fully accessible during these hours.

The wave pool generates artificial ocean-like waves reaching heights of 2 meters and is surrounded by four distinct forest types. These woodland areas contain rare plant species, giving the facility a naturalistic setting.
