Norseman Statue, Steel and concrete Viking statue at Viking Avenue and Lindvig Way in Poulsbo, United States.
The Norseman statue stands 12 feet tall, constructed with 500 pounds of steel rebar and 5000 pounds of cement by artist Mark Gale from Tacoma.
Unveiled in November 2012, the statue replaced a wooden sign at the intersection, funded by the Bjorgen Beautification Fund for twenty-five thousand dollars.
The statue foundation displays 'Velkommen til Poulsbo', representing the Norwegian heritage of the city known as Little Norway in Washington state.
Located at the southeast corner of Viking Avenue and Lindvig Way, the statue provides a clear reference point for visitors exploring downtown Poulsbo.
Local Girl Scout troops use the prominent Norse warrior figure as a meeting point for their recruitment activities throughout the year.
