Trump International Hotel and Tower, Luxury hotel in Palm Jumeirah, United Arab Emirates
Trump International Hotel and Tower was planned as a 62-floor high-rise at the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, combining cutting-edge technological features with innovative design. The building was intended to integrate advanced automation systems and smart technologies throughout its structure.
The project originated in 2005 through a partnership between the Trump Organization and Nakheel, with construction beginning in 2007. The development faced financial setbacks during the global economic downturn and ultimately was not completed.
The development represented a significant intersection of international hospitality standards with Middle Eastern architectural principles in Dubai's evolving urban landscape.
The site can be viewed from public areas of Palm Jumeirah, though the original building complex is no longer accessible. Visitors should be aware that the location is now in a different state and security barriers may restrict close access.
The original design was named Golden Tulip and received recognition from the American Resort Development Association. This early concept demonstrated innovative approaches to hotel development, even though it never came to fruition.
